Ingredients
Patol – cut into thin pieces (~2 inch length)
For marination
തൈര് ( Curd (yogurt))
മഞ്ഞൾ( Turmeric powder)
സാമ്പാർ പൊടി (Sambar powder)
ഉപ്പ് ( Salt)
വെളിച്ചെണ്ണ ( Coconut oil (few drops))
Flavor
കറിവേപ്പില (Curry leaves)
Preparation
Wash the patol and cut it into thin pieces about 2 inches long.
Prepare the marination mixture by mixing:
• curd
• turmeric powder
• sambar powder
• salt
• few drops of coconut oil
Add the cut patol pieces to the mixture and mix well.
Keep the mixture marinated for about 10 minutes so that:
• salt enters the vegetable
• masala sticks to the surface.
Add curry leaves for flavor.
Place this in in a microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave as follows:
2 minutes microwave
↓
stir well
↓
1 minute microwave
↓
stir again
↓
repeat 3–5 cycles
